It’s spring, and, hopefully, summer isn’t very far behind. And while we’re dusting off the barbecues and planning day trips to the beach, we’re probably also planning to show off a little more skin. So while you’re thinking about making yourself more beautiful, keep in mind that for many beauty tricks, you don’t have to look much farther than your fridge or pantry.
This post at Mother Nature Network shared many beauty tricks, for which you probably already have the ingredients on hand. We’ve all heard that oatmeal in your bath is good for itchy skin from poison ivy or eczema. But how about plain yogurt and honey for a face mask? Avocado as a deep-conditioning treatment for your hair?
Personally, I’d like to know HOW someone found out that plain yogurt was good as a face mask? Did someone get a little to excited for their breakfast and end up with yogurt on their face — and then discovered they had soft, smooth skin underneath? Same thing with avocado. Did someone rub an avocado into their hair, thinking, “Hmmm, I wonder what this will do?”?
Oh, well. However it happened, we’re all now the smarter for it. So, tell us: Do you use any everyday products in your hair or on your skin? What do you use, and why?
