West Loop has a new attraction to pass the time for the folks living, visiting or working in the area… The long awaited Adams-Sangamon Park is opening this weekend! Who doesn’t love a leisurely stroll through the park on a nice day? Well, this new addition to the area has something for everyone. As told in this article in inhabitat, this project which took seven years is thoughtfully developed with a play ground, a dog zone, tons of grass for laying around, reading a book or having a picnic, and a ton to look at with it’s cool architectural features.
An expansive new public park is opening in the heart of Chicago this weekend, putting the final touches on a renewed neighborhood in the West Loop adjacent to Greek Town. Designed by Site Design Group, Adams-Sangamon Park provides neighboring condo dwellers and office workers with a place to cool off, thanks to its central misting gate installation. The little ones have a place to play too, as a children’s park and dog park bookend the green space. Two berms take up the other corners of the park, which are home to a lush collection of native grasses.
